Official Credential Verification & Public Security Standards
Comprehensive manual for international evaluation agencies, embassies, employers, and academic institutions verifying degrees, transcripts, and enrollment letters issued by the Ethiopian Catholic Higher Learning Institute.
1. Verification Mechanisms
All official documents dispatched by the ECUSTA Registrar Office incorporate cryptographic verification features, dynamic QR security tokens, and verifiable database serial keys.
Method A: Automated QR Code Verification
Scan the square QR security matrix located in the header of the official document using any camera or QR scanner. The URL directs to /verify/transcript or /verify?code=..., loading the live, tamper-evident verification certificate directly from the ECUSTA database.
Method B: Manual Document Code Lookup
Visit /verify. Input the document serial code (e.g. DOC-2026-9812) and the associated student ID number (e.g. STU-2026-1049). The verification server validates the record and renders the authenticated document details.
2. Document Security Features & Dual Calendar Standard
- Dual Calendar Date Display: In accordance with Ethiopian academic standards, official transcripts display both Gregorian dates and Ethiopian calendar (ዓ.ም) dates formatted via the university date conversion engine.
- Digital Signature Authorization: Official documents feature digital signature stamps from the University Registrar and Academic Vice President.
- Discrepancy Reporting: If the verified online record differs in any attribute from a printed copy presented by a third party, immediately contact the Registrar Verification Desk via Helpdesk.
